{"id":713,"date":"2019-03-13T11:29:12","date_gmt":"2019-03-13T16:29:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sqlfreelancer.com\/blog\/?p=713"},"modified":"2019-03-13T11:29:12","modified_gmt":"2019-03-13T16:29:12","slug":"using-bookmarks-in-power-bi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sqlfreelancer.com\/blog\/using-bookmarks-in-power-bi\/","title":{"rendered":"Using Bookmarks in Power BI"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/app.powerbi.com\/view?r=eyJrIjoiMjllY2E3ODItMmM0YS00Nzk4LWI1YjQtMTA4MjVmMzg0NTZjIiwidCI6ImI0MWEzMGYxLTFjMjAtNDM1Mi04NGI2LWUzYTU1NjhmMTExMCIsImMiOjJ9\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Using bookmarks in Power BI help you capture the currently configured\nview of a report page, including filtering and the state of visuals, and later\nlet you go back to that state by simply selecting the saved bookmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also create a collection of\nbookmarks, arrange them in the order you want, and subsequently step through\neach bookmark in a presentation to highlight a series of insights, or the story\nyou want to tell with your visuals and reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this post we\u2019ll quickly go over\nhow to create a few bookmarks and view them as a slideshow if you will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m going to use my March Madness Report I created in an earlier post. Make sure all filters are selected to show all data and click Add under the bookmark pane. This will create a new Bookmark, named Bookmark 1.
